In 2026 the Festival of Biblical Literature will take place at Ealing Quaker Meeting House in west London. This site is easily accessible by public transport (less that ten minutes’ walk from Ealing Broadway Station) and has a large garden.  I am really looking forward to meeting you there.

As in previous years, you can buy a day-ticket or a ticket for the full three-days. If you buy tickets before 25 February they are priced at £45 for a day or £125 for the whole festival. The ticket includes lunch and refreshments. Please go to: https://www.festivalofbiblicalliterature.co.uk/

I have already been able to secure an exciting selection of speakers and artists.

Doctor Ahreum Kim, Doctor Elizabeth Hare, Doctor Ronan Mclaverty-Head and Doctor Simon Taylor will all be returning to speak at the festival in 2026. They will be joined by Doctor Olga Fabrikant-Burke. Olga is Tutor in Old Testament at a college in Cambridge. I have heard her speak twice before, so I know that she will make a really interesting contribution.  You can get an indication on what each of the speakers will be speaking about on the festival website.

I am very pleased to announce that the TS Eliot prize-winning poet Philip Gross will attend the festival this year.  For more information, please see the festival website.

There will be more announcements on speakers and artists in the new year and as that happens the detail of the programme will emerge.

I wish you a joyous and peaceful Christmas and I really hope to see you in the summer.

James Priestman

(Festival Director)
